Established in 2007 Rapid Current has slowly grown to become one of Wellington's leading electrical contractors you have never heard of.
With 18 full time staff and a vast range of experience across the residential, commercial, service, and automation sectors we work hard to get the best outcome for our customers by providing high quality workmanship, products and competitive pricing.
From the start we have had a heavy focus on building and maintaining relationships with our customers and staff. This has allowed us to maintain a low staff turnover rate which helps us build the relationships with returning customers who make up a large portion of our work.
Our customers are comfortable coming to us with any requests, questions or jobs no matter how big or small.
We have four main divisions in the company:
Residential
The builders we work with in the domestic market construct both small public and private housing, as well as larger award winning homes - built to a high specification with a focus on automation.
Commercial
Our commercial customers vary greatly. We have completed office fitouts, embassies, retail outlets, and showrooms. We complete these jobs on time and to a high standard. We also have dedicated service electricians who look after several of Wellington's office buildings.
Automation
Initially starting out with residential automation, this division has grown into more commercial and industrial based work. We have completed full office lighting automation for the NZ Blind Foundation which has been beneficial for their vision impaired staff, as well as automated lighting for council buildings and some of the city’s tunnels.
Larger Works
This part of the company focuses on the more complex jobs and we have delivered apartment buildings, student accommodation blocks, new university and private laboratories as well as new retirement villages.
With a big focus on health and safety, as well as individual progression for staff, all of our team are Site Safe registered - and Rapid Current Commercial Ltd has Site Wise Gold Accreditation.
